Description of key information
Sensory irritation RD50 values: 580ppm, 614ppm (mice, 10 min)
Additional information
The sensory irritation properties of ethyl acetate vapor as indicated by the RD50 (the concentration that produces a 50% decrease in respiratory rate in mice) was evaluated in two separate studies. The RD50 in the first study was reported to be 614 ppm, with 95% confidence limits of 562 -684 ppm and in the second study was evaluated and reported to be 580 ppm. No other specific investigative studies derived useful information for risk assessment purposes.
