Description of key information

[µ-[carbonato(2-)-O:O']]dihydroxydioxodizirconium was concluded not to melt before it decomposes, following Differential Thermal Analysis as described in the EC A.1 (Butler and Rimmer, 2010). Decomposition becomes significant starting from ca. 25 to 50°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

[µ-[carbonato(2-)-O:O']]dihydroxydioxodizirconium decomposes to zirconium dioxide with the loss of water and carbon dioxide. Decomposition is indicated by a significant weight loss starting at ca. 25 to 50°C (Butler and Rimmer, 2010 ).
