Due to test item properties (water content ≤ 10 % (w/w)) the sample for the measurement was dried at 150 °C. The experiment was done applying temperatures from 170 °C to 220 °C. Extrapolation of the curve to 20 °C and fitting this value in the re-gression curve, a vapour pressure of 1.13 × 10-3Pa was obtained (mean of three determinations).

Conclusions:
The vapour pressure of FAT 20075/C was 0.00113 Pa.
Executive summary:

Determination of the Vapour Pressure of FAT 20075/C TE by Iso-thermal Thermogravimetry was carried out according to OECD guideline 104 and EU method A.4. The purpose of the study was to determine the vapour pressure of the test item using the isothermal thermogravimetric effusion method. The evaporation rates of the test item at elevated temperatures and ambient pressure were determined by monitoring the weight loss. The vapour pressure of the test item at 20 °C (pT, 20) was determined using the isothermal thermogravimetric effusion method. According to the guideline this method was validated in the range 10-10 to 1 Pa using a set of reference substances with known vapour pressures. As a result of the non GLP pre-tests the main test was done above 170 °C and below 220 °C. The test item was added to the glass plate. The plate was placed in the TGA instrument. The weight loss of the test item was measured continuously as a function of time at four different temperatures. In conclusion, the isothermal thermogravimetric effusion method was chosen for the determination of the vapour pressure of FAT 20075/C. The vapour pressure of the test item at 20 °C (293K) was 1.13 × 10-3 Pa (mean of three determinations, without water).
