First-aid measures

1. Description of first aid measures

General notes:

In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

Following inhalation:

Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If breathing is difficult: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

Following skin contact:

Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.

Following eye contact:

Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a POISON Center or doctor/physician.

Following ingestion:

Call a POISON Center or doctor/physician if you feel unwell. Rinse mouth. Never give anything through mouth to an unconscious person.

2. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed

Risk of serious damage to eyes by contact.

3. Indication of the immediate medical attention and special treatment needed

No information available.

Fire-fighting measures

1. Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide, foam, dry chemical, water spray.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: No information available.

2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating or toxic gases/vapors: oxides of carbon, oxides of sulfur, and oxides of phosphorus, fluorine compounds.

3. Advice for fire-fighters

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical-protective clothing. Prevent fire extinguishing water from contaminating surface water or the ground water system.

Accidental release measures

1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

Refer to SECTION 8 for personal protective equipment. Prevention of skin and eye contact. Ensure adequate ventilation. Remove all sources of ignition

2. Environmental precautions

Avoid release to the environment. Avoid discharge into drains, surface water or groundwater.

3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up

Contain spill if possible. Wipe up or absorb on suitable material and shovel up. Prevent entry into sewers and waterways. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing.

Handling and storage

1 Precautions for safe handling

Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Use personal protective equipment as required. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling. Use this material with adequate ventilation. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.

2 Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Keep container tightly closed and in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep away from heat and ignition sources.

3. Specific end use(s)

Apart from the uses mentioned in SECTION 1.2 no other specific uses are stipulated.
