Conclusions:
The water solubility of the test item was determined to be >50 g/L at 20°C.
Executive summary:

The objective of this study was to obtain the water solubility of Dye-2019.The study was carried out in accordance with OECD test guideline No.105 in compliance with GLP. The water solubility of test item was measured by the flask method because the test item was a multi-component substance. In a preliminary test, the test item was dissolved in water at any proportion but the upper limit of water solubility was set to 50 g/L with consideration for the pre-treatment of test solution. In this study, it was confirmed that the water solubility of test item was more than the upper limit (50 g/L). Therefore, only three test solutions were prepared. The prepared test solutions were agitated at 30 °C with the constant temperature shaking water bath after stirring for one hour at room temperature. After 2 days, three test solutions were taken out from the constant temperature shaking water bath and equilibrated for 24 hours at the test temperature using the low constant temperature water bath. These solutions were pre-treated, pH adjustment and centrifugation, and analysed using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The water solubility of the test item was determined to be >50 g/L at 20 °C.
