Additional information

To assess the acute toxicity of the test item to aquatic invertebrates an experimental study according to the OECD guideline 202 was conducted with Daphnia magna. Juveniles of the test species, less than 24 h old, were exposed to the nominal concentrations of 7.5, 15.0, 30.0, 60.0 and 120 mg/L test item and a control for 48 h in a semi static test set up. The test medium was completely exchanged after 24 h. The temperature was controlled continuously, the other abiotic parameters were checked after 24 and 48. Biological observations on mobility were made at the same time points. After 24 h no immobile daphnids were observed and no immobile individuals were observed in the controls at all. After 48 h immobile organisms were observed at some concentrations. Therefore, the EC50 after 48 h was calculated as 77.7 mg/L, based on the measured concentrations by a linear extrapolation analysis. All validity criteria were fulfilled. (BASF, 2019)
