Description of key information

In an OECD 203 TG study, Danio rerio were exposed to the test item. Nominal concentrations of 2.2, 4.6, 10, 22, 46, and 100 mg/L of the test item were tested in a 96 h static-renewal test set up. The 96-hour LC50 was calculated as 10.29 mg/L (based on nominal concentrations).

In an OECD 202 TG study, D. magna were exposed to the test item. Nominal concentrations of 7.5, 15.0, 30.0, 60.0 and 120 mg/L of the test item were tested in a 48 h semi static test set up. The EC50 after 48 h was calculated as 77.7 mg/L.

In an OECD TG 201 study, pseudokirchneriella subcapitata were exposed to the test item. Nominal test concentrations of 0.384, 1.2, 3.84, 12 and 38.4 mg/L were investigated for effects on growth rate and yield inhibition under static conditions. After 72 hours the EC50 values for inhibition of growth rate and yield were 3.66 and 1.83 mg/L, respectively. The NOEC values for inhibition of growth rate and yield were 1.16 and 3.06 mg/L, respectively.

In an OECD  TG 209, microorganisms were exposed to the test item. Nominal concentrations of 0, 62.5, 125, 250, 500 and 1000 mg/L of the test tiem were tested in a 3 h static test setup. The EC50 value based on respiration was 720 mg/L. The EC 10 was determined as 190 mg/L.

The validity criteria were met in all tests .
