Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Workers - Hazard via inhalation route

Systemic effects

Long term exposure
Hazard assessment conclusion:
DNEL (Derived No Effect Level)
Value:
13 mg/m³
Most sensitive endpoint:
repeated dose toxicity
Route of original study:
By inhalation
DNEL related information
DNEL derivation method:
ECHA REACH Guidance
Overall assessment factor (AF):
75
Dose descriptor starting point:
NOAEC
Value:
1 994 mg/m³
Modified dose descriptor starting point:
NOAEC
Value:
1 002 mg/m³
Explanation for the modification of the dose descriptor starting point:

The inhalation NOAEC of 1994 mg/m3 (250 ppm), for systemic toxicity in male and female SD rats was used to derive the dose descriptor for MTDID 28136.  The MTDID 28136 NOAEC (1994 mg/m3) was modified, as per ECHA guidance, by multiplying by 6 hours/8 hours and then by 6.7 m3/10 m3 to give a corrected inhalation dose descriptor = 1002 mg/m3.

AF for dose response relationship:
1
AF for differences in duration of exposure:
6
AF for interspecies differences (allometric scaling):
2.5
AF for intraspecies differences:
5

Workers - Hazard via dermal route

Systemic effects

Long term exposure
Hazard assessment conclusion:
DNEL (Derived No Effect Level)
Value:
3.8 mg/kg bw/day

DNEL derivation method:
ECHA REACH Guidance
Overall assessment factor (AF):
300
Dose descriptor starting point:
NOAEL
Value:
1 130 mg/kg bw/day
Modified dose descriptor starting point:
other: This dose descriptor was derived, using ECHA Guidance ( the worker inhalation to dermal route-to-route equation found in Table 2 of ECHA Practical Guide 14: How to Prepare Toxicological Summaries in IUCLID and how to Derive DNELS; July 2012).
Value:
1 130 mg/kg bw/day

DNEL related information
Explanation for the modification of the dose descriptor starting point:

No additional DNELs were/could be calculated for this human exposure pathway because either the pathway was not identified in the exposure scenarios or there were no available/adequate data to calculate the DNEL.
