The measurements in aluminium crucibles with a hole showed an endothermal effect (melting) in the temperature range of 110- 155 °C with onset temperatures between 120.8 °C and 121.4 °C The results are summarized below:

From the results of the DSC measurements it was concluded that the test item had a melting point of 121.1 °C.

The melting point of the test item was determined to be 121.1 °C.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted according to OECD test guideline 102, Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.1 and EPA OCSPP test guideline 830.7200 to determine the melting point of the test item using differential scanning calorimetry. The test item was weighed out into an aluminium crucible under an inert atmosphere (nitrogen). Two tests with about 10 – 18 mg of the test item were performed. As reference crucible, an empty aluminium crucible was used. The test item and the reference were heated up from the starting temperature to the final temperature at a constant heating rate (10 K/min) in a defined atmosphere (nitrogen). Two DSC measurements showed an endothermal effect in the temperature range of 110 - 155 °C with onset temperatures between 120.8 °C and 121.4 °C, respectively. Thus, it was concluded that the test item has a melting point of 121.1 °C.
