Conclusion on classification

The results of the aquatic toxicity studies all provide effect concentrations > 100 mg/L. As such no classification in accordance with EU CLP (EC No. 1272/2008, as amended) is warranted for aquatic acute toxicity. With regards to chronic effects, no fish or invertebrate data is available or required at the current tonnage band (an algal NOEC of 3.16 mg/L was determined). As the substance is not readily biodegradable consideration of any acute effects can be taken into account for endpoints with no chronic results. As the acute fish and invertebrate studies both provided effect concentrations of > 100 mg/L, no classification in accordance with CLP is warranted for aquatic chronic effects.
