Details on results:
Mean measured concentrations of water extractable constituents of the test substance in samples processed from the treated test vessel stirred and equilibrated at 20°C for 48 and 72 hours were 32.0 mg/L and 35.7 mg/L, respectively. These replicate determinations have a percent difference of 11%, which is within the protocol criteria for determining the test system had attained water solubility equilibrium, and the test was terminated. The mean water solubility (n = 6) for water extractable constituents of the test substance at 20°C was 33.9 mg/L.
Conclusions:
The water solubility value of the water extractable constituents of this complex UVCB (those that dissolved) at 20°C, was determined to be 33.9 mg/L under the conditions of the test.

Description of key information

Two aqueous solubility studies are available. The key study provides an assessment of the water solubility of the soluble components of the complex UVCB substance (water extractable constituents). It is important to note that the actual water solubility of the substance is expected to be practically insoluble based on the numerous components present with limited solubilities. This was alluded to in the initial experimental report where solubilities were assessed via visual assessment.
