Description of key information

According to Column 2 of REACH Annexes IX and X of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, studies on the effects on terrestrial organisms do not need to be conducted, if direct and indirect exposure to the soil compartment is unlikely. Due to its inherent properties (practically insoluble in water, not bioavailable, not degradable, no absorption to soil or sediment, not volatile), the study on the toxicity of hexagonal boron nitride to terrestrial organisms can be excluded.
