In the temperature ranges of 110 – 260 °C and 260 – 360 °C two exothermic effects can be observed, with a maximum overall decomposition energy of approximately -150 J/g.

Conclusions:
In the DSC-measurements the test item Blue TBR showed two exothermic effects in the temperature ranges of 110 – 260 °C and 260 – 360 °C, with a maximum overall decomposition energy of approximately -150 J/g. Due to the fact that the energy of the exothermic decomposition was below the threshold of -500 J/g, further tests for explosive properties had not to be performed.

According to the results of the test on thermal stability, the test item is classified as following:
UN Transport Regulation: The test item does not have to be classified as explosive substance in class 1 according to the UN Transport Regulation.
GHS (CLP Regulation EC 1272/2008: Annex 1: 2.1): The test item does not have to be classified as explosive substance according to GHS or CLP Regulation EC 1272/2008 Annex 1: 2.1, respectively.
Regulation EC 440/2008 and Directive 67/548/EEC: The test item has no explosive properties according to the Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.14. Explosive Properties.
