Additional information

The vapour pressure of triethylsilane has been predicted based on the known relation between boiling point and vapour pressure. Due to the variation in the boiling point results for triethylsilane, predicted vapour pressure values of 1500 - 2700 Pa at 25°C were obtained for triethylsilane using a validated QSAR estimation method. The result is considered to be reliable. The highest predicted vapour pressure was used for assessment purposes.

In contact with water, triethylsilane hydrolyses slowly to produce triethylsilanol and hydrogen. The vapour pressure of triethylsilanol was determined to be 20 Pa at 25°C using a validated QSAR estimation method.
