Result preliminary test

The estimated flash-point of the test substance was 42.0°C.

Results main study (test #3 and #4)

A flash-point of 46 °C and 45 °C was found, respectively. As the difference between the results obtained with test 3 and 4 was = 2°C, it was concluded that the flash-point of the test substance is the lowest flash-point obtained (45 °C).

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The Pensky-Martens closed cup method was applied for the determination of the flash-point of the substance. The flash-point of the test substance was 45°C. As the Flash point of the substance is = 23 and = 60 degrees Celsius, the substance should be classified as a flammable liquid, category 3.
