Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Key result
Test procedure:
other: burning rate according to VDI 2263
Remarks on result:
other: burning index BZ 3
Remarks:
localized combustion or glowing with practically no spreading

Any other information on results incl. tables

The product showed a local smouldering fire when an ignition source (flame or hot wire) was applied at ambient temperature. A propagation of the combustion was not observed. The product did not melt.

The combustion behaviour of the product at ambient temperature is characterized by the burning index BZ 3 (localized combustion or glowing with practically no spreading).

Due to the fact that no propagation of the combustion was observed the burning rate had not to be determined.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
The substance showed a local smouldering fire without propagation of the combustion. Therefore, the substance has not to be classified as highly flammable solid according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
