Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No studies are available on the acute toxicity to fish for hydrocarbons, C6-C7, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, > 5% n-hexane. Based on a category approach data are read-across to hydrocarbons, C6-C7, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, < 5% n-hexane. Three studies according to OECD 203 guideline were conducted with the latter substance (CEFIC 1995, Shell 1994, 1995). The acute toxicity, as measured by mortality to rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), was evaluated in freshwater by using water accomodated fractions (WAFs). Under the conditions of these studies, the test substance, hydrocarbons, C6-C7, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, < 5% n-hexane, produced acute lethal toxicity to Oncorhynchus mykiss at 11.4 mg/L (CEFIC 1995), 12 mg/L (Shell 1994), and 22-46 mg/L (Shell 1995) based on nominal loadings of the test substance in water. LL0s were determined to be 5.1, 4 and 22 mg/L, respectively.
