Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Although a substance-specific study is not available, close analogues of the substance have been shown to meet the criteria for ready biodegradability. As a result, and in accordance with REACH Annex VIII, Section 9.2.2.1, Column 2, investigation of hydrolysis as a function of pH is considered to be unnecessary. Furthermore, the multiconstituent test item is essentially insoluble in water, the concentration required to dissolve all the components would be impractically low, a sufficiently sensitive analytical method is unlikely to be available and each component that is unstable is likely to have its own hydrolytic rate. These factors taken together mean that the available test method is unsuitable for the registered substance.
