First-aid measures

In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

In case of inhalation: Remove to fresh air immediately. If breathing is difficult, seek medical advice.

In case of skin contact: Wash off with plenty of water.

In case of eyes contact: Flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.

In case of ingestion:  Wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious. Seek medical advice.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: May cause an allergic skin reaction. Suspected of causing genetic defects. Suspected of causing cancer.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: If skin irritation or rash occurs, get medical advice/attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, dry powder, carbon dioxide or foam. Containers close to the fire should be removed or cooled with water.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: In case of fire, the product may emit toxic and/or irritating fumes: CO, CO2.

Special fire fighting methods and special protective actions for  fire-fighters: Fire-fighters should wear appropriate protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with a full face-piece operated in positive pressure mode.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

For non-emergency personnel: Provide adequate ventilation. Wear approved respirator and chemically compatible gloves. Refer to section 8 of SDS for personal protection details.

For emergency responders: Wear an appropriate NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator if vapor is generated.

Environmental Precautions: Prevent flow to sewers/public waters without previous treatment.

Methods for Containment and Cleaning up: Collect spilled material by absorption with vacuum cleaner. Avoid vapor. Place spillage in appropriate container for waste disposal. Ventilate area and wash spill site.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:

Protective measures: Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Avoid breathing vapor. Wear fresh clothing daily. Do not permit eating, drinking or smoking near material.

Advice on general occupational hygiene: Do not eat, drink and smoke in work areas. Wash hands after use. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.

Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store in tightly closed original container in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. Protect from freezing and direct sunlight.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Control parameters:

Occupational exposure limits: Not available.

Additional exposure limits under the conditions of use: Not available.

DNEL/DMEL and PNEC-Values: Not available.

Exposure controls:

Appropriate engineering controls: Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep worker exposure to airborne contaminants below any recommended or statutory limits.

Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment:

Eye/face protection: If risk of splashing, wear safety goggles or face shield.

Hand protection: Protective gloves should be used if there is a risk of direct contact or splash.

Body protection: Protective clothing.

Respiratory protection: No specific recommendation made, but respiratory protection may still be required under exceptional circumstances when excessive air contamination exists.

Thermal hazards: Wear suitable protective clothing to prevent heat.

Environmental exposure controls: Avoid discharge into the environment. According to local regulations, Federal and official regulations.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: The substance is stable under normal storage and handling conditions.

Chemical stability: Stable under normal temperature conditions.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: No dangerous reactions known.

Conditions to avoid: Incompatible materials.

Incompatible materials: Strong oxidizing substances. Strong acids. Strong Alkalis.

Hazardous decomposition products: Emits fumes under fire conditions. CO, CO2.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods: The material should be disposed of by incineration in a chemical incinerator in compliance with national and regional requirements.

Product / Packaging disposal: If empty container retains product residues, all label precautions must be observed. Return for reuse or dispose according to national or local regulations.
