Additional information

The aquatic invertebrate (Daphnia) test was performed on the substance itself and value on similar substance 01 was also evaluated. An algae ecotoxicity value is available on a similar substance 01 (read-across from supporting substance -structural analogue or surrogate).

Justification for Read Across is detailed in the endpoint summary and it is further detailed in the report attached to the IUCLID section 13.

Invertebrate acute toxicity

The substance was tested for its acute toxicity to Daphnia magna, according to OECD Guideline 202 and EPA 540/985005.

The EC 50 value at 48 hours was 63.7 mg/L.

Furthermore, a test on similar substance 01, to be evaluated in read across, is available. The similar substance 01 was tested for 48 hours on Daphnia magna Straus 1820 according to the Guideline : 92/69/EEC C.2 defined anEC50 of 17mg/L (calculated).

Algae acute toxicity

A similar substance 01 was tested for its acute toxicity to algae, according to EU 92/69/EEC C.3.

EbC 50 after 72 hours on Scenedesmus subspicatus was found to be 13 mg/L nominal; the NOEbC, 0.44 mg/l.

In addition, in order to have an overall idea of the toxicity in the aquatic trophic level, an 96-Hour Acute Toxicity Study on Zebrafish according to the OECD203 is available. The study defined a fish 96h LC50 158 mg/L (graphically determinated).

A microorganism test is also available, according to the OECD 209 and ETAD Method 103.

The IC50 (3 h) was found to be> 100 mg/L.
