The test chemical 1, 5-Diaminonaphthalene (CAS No: 2243-62-1) was observed to be not irritating on rabbits skin.
Executive summary:

Skin irritation test was performed in rabbits to observe the irritation potential of test chemical 1, 5-Diaminonaphthalene(CAS No: 2243-62-1) according to OECD Test Guideline 404.

 

The rabbits were exposed to 500mg of test chemical for 4 hours exposure period under semi-occlusion.

 

Since no known skin irritation effects were observed, the test chemical, 1, 5-Diaminonaphthalene(CAS No: 2243-62-1) was considered as not irritating to rabbits’ skin.
