Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Reliable factual databases and/or handbooks provide equivocal figure for the water solubility of silver nitrate. For example, the "Roempp" states a water solubility of 710 g/L at 25°C, whereas the Gestis Database cites 2150 g/L at 20°C. In any cases, silver nitrate is assumed to be "very soluble" and the higher figure may be used for chemical safety assessment.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
2 150 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C
