Description of key information

Inhibition concentration to 50%  of test organisms Tetrahymena pyriformis (Ciliate) (IGC50) was examined for 48 hrs.at dose concentration of 4.284992 mg/L indicating that 4-(2,6,6-trimethylcyclohex-1-ene-1-yl)-but-3-ene-2-one is likely to cause toxicity to micro-organisms.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for microorganisms:
4.285 mg/L

Additional information

Inhibition concentration to 50% of test organisms Tetrahymena pyriformis (Ciliate) (IGC50) was examined for 48 hrs.at dose concentration of 4.284992 mg/L. In this case IGC50 has been considered equivalent to to EC50 since the effect shown is growth inhibition on 50% of the test animals.
