Description of key information

Feropur has a melting point of 347.0°C. Based on this, a boiling point study was not needed.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII (section 7.3) a study for the boiling point "does not need to be conducted for solids which … melt above 300°C ". The Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7A: Endpoint specific guidance, section R. 7.1.3.1, page 53, specifies that “ a study does not need to be conducted ... for solids which... melt above 300°C...”. Feropur has a melting point of 347.0°C. Based on this, a boiling point study was not performed.
