JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
The repeat-dose inhalation toxicity of Softanol 30 can be qualitatively predicted based on the general low toxicity of secondary alcohol ethoxylates via oral and dermal routes and the low acute oral and dermal toxicity of Softanol 30 which is considered to have a local mode of toxicity driven by its surfactant properties. The value of a repeat-dose inhalation toxicity study for Softanol 30 which will only ever be exposed by inhalation to humans as a mixture containing other surfactants is considered to be too low to justify.
