Reproductive toxicity screening studies are available for C14 alpha olefins,

and C18 branched and linear internal olefins (also for C6 alpha olefins and C6 branched internal olefins).

In addition, male and female reproductive organs have been examined in repeated dose studies

with C16/C18 and C20-C24 branched and linear internal olefins (also with C6 alpha olefin).

No evidence for reproductive effects was seen in any of these studies.

Based on evidence from these studies, the Higher Olefins Category members are not considered to cause reproductive or developmental toxicity.
