Additional information

In this IUCLID data set two oral repeated dose studies (C20 -C24 and C16/18 olefins), one inhalative

repeated dose study (1 -hexene) and one dermal repeated dose study (C12 -C16 olefin fraction)

are cited and demonstrate the test substances´ low level of toxicity.

Furthermore, similar low levels of toxicity were demonstrated in several rat oral repeated dose studies with

structural analogues of members of the Higher Olefins Category. The substances tested were: C6, C8

and C14 linear alpha olefins, C6 internal olefin (58% branched), C16/C18 internal olefins (26%

branched), C18 internal olefin (32.5% branched) and C20-C24 internal olefins (>70% branched).
