Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In the key study, the toxicity of the test substance (Catalyst 21513) towards algae was tested according to OECD Guideline 201 (adopted June 7, 1984). The toxic effects were investigated by determination of the inhibition of the biomass production and the growth rate of the algae. The highest concentration where no significant inhibition was detected (the NOEC) was identified as the eluate from 10g/L test substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Under the conditions used for the test, no toxic effect of the test substance towards algae was observed. Therefore, inhibition of the biomass production to 10% and 50% (the EbC10 and EbC50) and the inhibition of the growth rate to 10% and 50% (the ErC10 and ErC50) could not be determined.
