Description of key information

The key study was an acute toxicity assay of the effects of Catalyst 21513 upon Daphnia magna, conducted in accordance with OECD Guideline 202 Part I (adopted 4 April 1984) by the Institut Fresenius in 1996; the study was compliant with GLP. In order to investigate the influence of the test substance on the daphnia, the swimming behavior of the animals was recorded. Under the conditions used for the test, no acute toxic effect of the test substance on daphnia was observed. Therefore, the EC50was not calculated. The EC0(without any toxic effect) was identified as the eluate from 10 g test substance in 1 litre dilution water.

Additional information

Under the conditions used for the test, no acute toxic effect of the test substance on daphnids was observed. Therefore, the EC50was not calculated. The EC0(without any toxic effect) was identified as the eluate from 10 g test substance in 1 litre dilution water.
