Conclusions:
The reaction mass of morpholine and 6-[(p-tosyl)amino]hexanoic acid, compound with morpholine (1:1) has a vapour pressure of 18.1 and 59.3 mm Hg at 20 and 50 °C, respectively, based on a isoteniscope technique
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of the reaction mass of morpholine and 6-[(p-tosyl)amino]hexanoic acid, compound with morpholine (1:1) was determined in line with ASTM D2979-97 (Standard Test Method for Vapour Pressure-Temperature Relationship and Initial Decomposition Temperature of Liquids by Isoteniscope). A minor deviation from protocol was reported, namely that a digital electronic pressure gauge was used for pressure measurement as opposed to a mercury manometer, which is stipulated in the guideline. This will not, however, have had a significant effect on the final value. It was concluded that the reaction mass of morpholine and 6-[(p-tosyl)amino]hexanoic acid, compound with morpholine (1:1) had a vapour pressure of 18.1 and 59.3 mm Hg (2.41 and 7.91 kPa) at a temperature of 20 and 50°C, respectively.

Description of key information

Following determination by an isoteniscope technique, a vapour pressure of 18.1 and 59.3 mm Hg (2.41 and 7.91 kPa) was ascertained at a temperature of 20 and 50°C, respectively, for the reaction mass of morpholine and 6-[(p-tosyl)amino]hexanoic acid, compound with morpholine (1:1).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
2.41 kPa
at the temperature of:
20 °C
