Key result
Remarks on result:
no flash point - measurement carried out until boiling temperature

It was visually observed that the test item boiled at approximately 85°C. No flammable vapour/air mixture was produced at temperatures below the temperature at which boiling of the test item occurred. From this, it was concluded that the test item has no flash point.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
MTDID 50908 had no flash point up to its boiling point as determined with a closed cup flash point tester according to ASTM D7094.
Executive summary:

The flash point of MTDID 50908 was tested using a closed-cup method in accordance with ASTM D7094. Two experiments were conducted, starting at 25 °C an attempt was made to ignite the vapour of the test substance for every 2 °C temperature rise. No flash was observed below 85 °C, at which temperature MTDID 50908 was observed to boil. The study was conducted in accordance with an accepted international standard and was GLP compliant; therefore the study is considered reliable without restrictions.

Description of key information

MTDID 50908 has no flash point. It was visually observed that MTDID 50908 boiled at approximately 85°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information
