Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Density measured using the PAAR DMA38 Digital Density Meter. Sample conditioned at 20 degrees Centigrade. The principle of measurement is that a sample is introduced into a measuring cell consisting of a U-shaped oscillator made of borosilicate glass. This measuring cell is electromagnetically excited to perform undamped oscillations. Since the volume of sample participating in the vibration is kept constant by the construction of the oscillator the period depends only on the sample density and the temperature of the sample tube.
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
oscillating densitimeter
