Description of key information
Abiotic degradation
Once released into the environment Na2O is unlikely to remain in its original form but will rapidly react with water (or moist sediments) to form sodium hydroxide which will dissociate into Sodium ions (Na+) and recombine with various minerals to form a variety of other sodium compounds.
Biotic degradation
No data are required since this endpoint is not relevant for inorganic substances.
