Description of key information

Based on the QSAR prediction done using OECD QSAR toolbox version 3.3 for toxicity to microorganisms of Sodium 5-(aminosulphonyl)-2-(7-(diethylamino)-2-oxo-2H-1-benzopyran-3-yl)benzoxazolesulphonate, the IGC50 value for Tetrahymena pyriformis is estimated to 1367.416748047mg/l.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

48 hrs aquatic toxicity study was predicted (SSS QSAR Prediction model, 2016) to assess toxic effects of the test chemical Sodium 5-(aminosulphonyl)-2-(7-(diethylamino)-2-oxo-2H-1-benzopyran-3-yl)benzoxazolesulphonate (CAS No. 93859-32-6) and the results were predicted on the basis of the growth impairment effects of the test compound on Tetrahymena pyriformis is in a static fresh water system.

The predicted data suggests the Inhibition growth concentration (IGC50) for the test compound Sodium

5-(aminosulphonyl)-2-(7-(diethylamino)-2-oxo-2H-1-benzopyran-3-yl)benzoxazolesulphonate was estimated to be 1367.416748047mg/l.

Thus based on this value, it can be concluded that the substance non toxic to micro organisms and thus can not be consider for the further classification for aquatic environment.
