Description of key information

Fish Acute Toxicity test according to OECD Guideline 203 was conducted for sodium 5-(aminosulphonyl)-2-[7-(diethylamino)-2-oxo-2H-1-benzopyran-3-yl] benzoxazolesulphonate. The nominal concentration selected for the experiment were 100 mg/L andZebra FishDanio reriowere exposed to these concentration for 96 hours.
The lethal concentrations LC50 was found to be >100 mg/L.

Additional information

Key study indicate that the Fish Acute Toxicity test according to OECD Guideline 203 was conducted for sodium 5-(aminosulphonyl)-2-[7-(diethylamino)-2-oxo-2H-1-benzopyran-3-yl] benzoxazolesulphonate. The nominal concentration selected for the experiment were 100 mg/L andZebra FishDanio reriowere exposed to these concentration for 96 hours.

The lethal concentrations LC50 was found to be >100 mg/L.

Other supporting study from predicted model i.e SSS QSAR;2016 and ECOSAR v1.11 from EPI suite indicate that that the lethal concentration (LC50) for the test compound Sodium 5-(aminosulphonyl)-2-(7-(diethylamino)-2-oxo-2H-1-benzopyran-3-yl)benzoxazolesulphonate was estimated to be 852.572814941mg/l and 38966.813 mg/L respectively.

Thus based on the overall results summarized that the test substance is non toxic to fish and thus not consider for the further classification as per the CLP criteria.
