Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

For hydrocarbons, C11-C20, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, aromatics (2 -30%) a EL50 of 1400 mg/L and a NOELR of 17 mg/L was determined.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Hydrocarbons, C11-C20, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, aromatics (2 -30%) exhibited effects in a 21-day toxicity study with Daphnia magna following standard test guidelines at a nominal loading of 1400 mg/L, with a NOELR of 17 mg/L (based on inhibition of reproduction). These results indicate that hydrocarbons, C11-C20, n-alkanes, isoalkanes, cyclics, aromatics (2 -30%) may cause long-term effects to freshwater invertebrates.

A justification for the use of mentioned analogue substances for read-across is attached to IUCLID section 13.
