Description of key information

An experiment according to OECD Guideline 302 B was conducted to investigate the biodegradation potential of Fe(Na)HBED (Chojnacka, 2010). The test substance attained 3.2 % degradation after 14 days and 8.2 % degradation after 28 days, respectively. In conclusion, test substance cannot be regarded as inherently biodegradable.

Based on the substance specific properties (i.e. Koc and logPow) and on the usage as fertilizer, no further investigations on biodegradation are intended.
