Description of key information

No simulation tests in soil are available for tripropylene glycol methyl ether.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to REACH Annex IX requirements column 2, soil simulation testing shall only be considered for substances with a high potential for adsorption. Further, the study does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable or if direct and indirect exposure of soil is unlikely. A simulation test soil can be waived, as tripropylene glycol methyl ether has a low potential for adsorption to soil (log Kow of 0.309) and is readily biodegradable.
