Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In accordance with Annex VII column 2 adaptation of REACH, based on chemical structure, the test substance does not contain any chemical groups associated with oxidising properties (REACH Technical Guidance Document Chapter R.7a (May 2008).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
no

Additional information

No tests were performed based on the following reasons:

The test substance contains oxygen chemically bonded to carbon and hydrogen ( Recommdendations on the transport of dangerous goods/ Manual of tests and criteria, ST/SG/AC.10/11/Rev.3 page 401).

The test substance contains aliphatic-aromatic sulfone groups i.e. diethylsulfone and diphenylsulfone which are not classified as oxidising substances according to RID/ADR class 5.1.

Nitrogen is present in the structure which is not oxidising. Nitrogen is also present in azo structures and again oxidising properties can be excluded.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The chemical structure of the test substance does not contain any chemical groups associated with oxidising properties and therefore no classification is required for oxidising properties according to EC criteria (67/548/EEC) and according to CLP criteria (EC 1272/2008).
