Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

With high probability acutely not harmful to fish in the range of solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of the substance to fish was examined in a limit test following OECD guideline 203. Organisms of the species Oncorhynchus mykiss were exposed to the substance for 96 hours in a semi-static test system. Tween 80 was used as solubilizer because of the substance's low water solubility.

At test termination an LC50 > 47 mg/L based on measured data was determined [RCC Umweltchemie, 1995]. This value corresponds to the nominal value of > 100 mg/L. Therefore, it can be concluded that the substance is not harmful to fish in the range of its water solubility.
