Sodium N-methyltaurinate is corrosive, so that it's highly hazardous for the skin and eyes, providing a local acute effect. In addition the LD50 for oral acute toxicity is > 2000 mg/kg bw, so that the toxicity does not need to be classified and therefore evaluated as low hazard. Systemic effects or inhalative toxic effects are not known.
