Additional information

There are various results available for the water solubility of sodium N-methyltaurinate. All results show that the substance is very soluble. The lowest water solubility of 410 g/L is given by the GSBL peer-reviewed database. However, the database does not provide additional information on the tested material and testing method. Sodium N-methyltaurinate is manufactured up to 62 % aqueous solution, so that it can be expected that the solubility is above 410 g/L. The predicted water solubility by calculation (WSKOW or WATERNT) of 1000 g/L using EPI Suite supports our consideration. Nevertheless, the EPA recommends that EPI Suite is a screening-level tool and should not be used if acceptable measured values are available. Therefore, we conclude that the water solubility is at least 410 g/L.
