Additional information

 In 2010 the German Physical Standards Institute (PTB) has issued a recommended flash point for 3 -methoxy-3 -methyl-butan-1 -ol with the result FP = 71°C measured with closed cup apparatus, which was used as key study.

Other flashpoints are cited in the secondary literature range from: +68°C (MSDS Kuraray (2004)) to +71°C (MSDS Sigma Aldrich (2004)).
