Two test series with different weights of the test item (Experiment 1: 0.9972 g, Experiment 2: 0.9974 g), technical substance, a white solid, were carried out in helium gas at 20 °C. To ensure the complete purging and thermal equilibration of the system, the first twenty measurements of each experiment were excluded from the evaluation. For averaging, only the results of the last ten measurements were used.

Mean density ρP20 for the measurements1.15 g/cm3

Standard deviation: 0.0003 g/cm3
Relative standard deviation: 0.02 %

Relative density (compared to water at 4 °C) D420 :

D420 = ρP20 / ρW4  = (1.15 g/cm3)/(1.00 g/cm3) = 1.15
