A reliable 72 h ErL50 value of 0.23 mg/L water accomodated fractions (WAFs) and a EbL50 value of based on growth rate an EC50 value of 0.084 mg/l WAFs and a NOELR value of 0.03 mg/L WAFs based on growth rate and biomass have been determined for the effects on Alcohols, C12-13 on the freshwater algae Raphidocelis subcapitata.
Other reliable studies report ErL50s in the range 0.24 to 2.2 mg/L based on growth.
The presence of branched structures does not appear confer it any different ecotoxicological properties compared to the Alcohols, C12 -13 linears only substance. Therefore the data is freely read-across between Alcohols, C12 -13 -branched and Alcohols, C12 -13 substances.
