Description of key information

According to the measured BCF the substance does not significantly accumulate in organisms.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
3.9 dimensionless

Additional information

To determine the bioaccumulative potential of TEA to aquatic organisms, a study conducted according to the OECD test guideline 305 was performed. Cyprinus carpio was used as test species. The determined BCF in this study was < 3.9 at a concentration of 0.25 mg/l whereas at a concentration of 2.5 mg/l a BCF < 0.4 was measured (MITI 1992).
