Description of key information

The boiling point of HFPO is-28.45°C (244.70 K) by static method at 101.325 kPa (760 mm Hg).

The boiling point of HFPO was evaluated in two studies. In the key study, the boiling point was determined to be -28.45 °C (244.70 K) under a static method at 101.325 kPa (760 mmHg). The static method is approved for measurement of vapour pressure (OECD 104) but is not mentioned in OECD 103 . Using the regression of the vapour pressures and temperatures, the temperature at which the vapour pressure equals the standard atmospheric pressure was found. The study was not conducted in accordance with GLP guidelines. This study is considered reliable with restrictions. In the supporting study, the boiling point was determined to be -27.40°C (245.75 K). The report specifies neither the methods used to obtain this temperature nor the pressure at which the measurements were obtained. The reliability of the supporting study could not be assessed, yet it supports the key study results.
