Endpoint:
explosive properties of explosives
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is an organic substance or mixture containing chemical groups associated with explosive properties, but the exothermic decomposition energy is less than 500 J/g and the onset of exothermic decomposition is below 500°C
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information

Description of key information

Not applicable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the explosiveness study does not need to be conducted as the organic substance contains chemical groups associated with explosive properties, but the exothermic decomposition energy is less than 500 J/g and the onset of exothermic decomposition is below 500 °C.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Classification, Labelling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008

Based on the chemical structure and taking into account the provisions laid down in Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, as amended for the twelfth time in Regulation (EC) 2019/521, the substance is not considered to be classified for explosiveness.
