Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Solubility of the test item in water was determined in an experimental study according to the OECD Guideline 105 (1981) and the EU Method A.6 (1992). A preliminary test predicted that the solubility of the test item would be between 10 and 200 mg/l and determined the shake method as the most appropriate test for solubility for this substance. 6 Erlenmeyer flasks, each containing 48 g of test item in 30 ml of double distilled water, were shaken in a water bath at 30 °C for either 24, 48 or 72 hours, then were incubated for a further 24 hours at 20 °C. Samples were centrifuged and filtered, then alquiots of dilutions from each flask were analysed using a spectrophotometer. Absorbance from 190 to 1100 nm was plotted graphically to determine a calibration curve. No significant differences were found between duplicates which were shaken for 48 and 72 hours, therefore the study was determined to be valid.
