Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Melting / freezing point
Melting / freezing pt.:
>= 50 - <= 80 °C
Atm. press.:
ca. 1 013 hPa
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
230 °C

Any other information on results incl. tables

The test item was white powder before heating. Just a part of the item changed transparent at about 50 °C, then the most part of the test item changed transparent between 70 °C to 80 °C.

Decomposition with weight loss is from around 230 °C.

Because the test item is substances of UVCB, a clear peak does not appear and it gradually melts. The peak at 190 °C is the melting point of sucrose (impurities).
